If you have an old speaker collecting dust in the garage or moved in the back of the closet, there's now a clever way to make it useful again.
old speaker with VAMP in red |
The London-based Paul Cocksedge Studiois raising funds on Kickstarter to develop "The Vamp," a cube-like device that attaches to any speaker and adds Bluetooth capability. Instead of buying new Bluetooth speakers, The Vamp sort of makes the old speakers relevant again.
Bluetooth devices like your smartphone or laptop can send sound to The Vamp, which can attach magnetically to a speaker with an included metal disc. The Vamp is equipped with a battery that powers the speaker, a USB charge socket, red and black speaker connectors and a headphone jack. We've seen a number of Bluetooth speakers, but this project is unique for its make-new-of-old approach.
The notable limitation right now with The Vamp is that it can only output mono sound.Designers are developing methods to overcome this defect also.
So what VAMP means to you? You need not buy a new speaker keeping aside your old granny's speaker only because of the reason it is not having bluetooth capability . Instead you can add that functionality to your old speaker itself..

can it is better than the normal plugging method rather than wireless..I mean bluetooth?
ReplyDeleteIn case of music transmission we cannot notice a fair amount of change between these two, because the bluetooth devices will have a specific range beyond which it cannot take the signal, same is the case with the wired also you have to be connected to the speaker.. Bluetooth increases range a little bit and you need not be tethered it is the only advantage of bluetooth over wired connection.. In general wired connections are faster and reliable than their wireless counter parts.Remember one thing though we are enjoying the freedom of wireless connection at our homes but the vast backbone network that forms the network is mainly wired..This reveals everything related to reliability of wired connections..
